A rally taken out by a 1000-strong Muslim mob in Burhanpur town of Madhya Pradesh yesterday, ostensibly to protest the Kathua incident, turned violent leading to stone pelting on cops, assault on bystanders, and vandalism of several shops & vehicles. Around 5 people, 2 of them cops, are said to be injured.
The violence has been reported in regional Hindi dailies like Bhaskar and Patrika. The entire town was gripped by panic and police forces had to be rushed to control the situation.
After the Friday afternoon namaz, the rally started from Iqbal chowk and proceeded to Gandhi chowk. Some of the youth carrying bamboo sticks started aggressive sloganeering and soon turned violent. They started attacking shops and badly beat up one shopkeeper. Innocent bystanders ran helter-skelter to take refuge.

By the time the rally reached Shanwara chowk, things turned really bad. They blocked the highway and pelted stones on vehicles. When police tried to intervene, even they were attacked. Two policemen were injured, one of them suffered a serious head wound. Initially police tried to use a light lathi charge to control the situation but did not succeed. They had to call in more forces to finally bring the situation under control.
It appears that the rally was being planned for over a week via social media. State transport buses parked near the bus stand were also attacked and damaged.
One twitter user @SherlockDesi has shared photos and videos of the violence. Note: We have not been able to independently verify the authenticity of the same –

Earlier this week, similar ‘protests’ were seen in Mallapuram and other parts of Kerala, and now the template has been applied in Madhya Pradesh.
Unless the Islamist poison is challenged at its roots, i.e. by cracking down on the local maulvis and the larger religiopolitical organizations like Jamaat-e-Islami, PFI, Tablighi Jamaat, Ahl-e-Hadith etc which provide the ideological grounding for the grassroots Islamists, we will continue to see such violence, organized on one pretext or the other, recurring with increasing intensity. Given that Bharat has the 2nd largest Muslim population in the world (and forecast to have the largest Muslim population by 2050), the threat of Islamism is the biggest internal security challenge facing both the nation and Hindu society.

I have had enough of Moslem riots. They will never abide by Rule of Law. Their existence is detrimental to social harmony. I want the Government to issue “Shoot Moslems on Sight” Orders.
