More than 200 people joined the 1st inaugural Hindu New Year Vikram Samvat 2074 and Bharatiya Sanskriti Mahotsav 2017 celebration at Rembrandt Hotel in Bangkok on 1st April 2017. The Event was organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad Association Thailand in cooperation with Arya Samaj Bangkok.
Under the leadership of Shri Prasanjeet Poddar, Secretary General of Hindustan Art & Music Society, Kolkata, Bharat showcased the best talent at the Bharatiya Sanskriti Mahotsav 2017.
Shri Abbagani Ramu and Smt. Pushpa Abbagani, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Bharat, Bangkok joined as Chief Guests of the evening. Prof. Dr. Narasingha Charan Panda, ICCR Chair Visiting Professor of Sanskrit, Sanskrit Studies Centre, Faculty of Archaeology, Silpakorn University, Bangkok, Thailand delivered the theme address and highlighted the importance of Hindu Nava Varsha Celebration.
Shri Susheel Kumar Saraff, President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Association Thailand delivered the welcome address and also briefly presented the vision for Hindu community in Thailand.
