Hindu Family In MP Converts To Islam Because of Social Boycott After Father Married Muslim Woman Decades Ago

A Hindu family , headed by Vinod Khare (kayastha by caste), has recently converted to Islam in Rajnagar, Chhattarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The news has appeared both in English & Hindi media.

28 years ago, Vinod Khare had fallen in love with a Muslim woman, Shah Bano and had married her as per Hindu rituals. She became Bina Khare post marriage. But the families of both boycotted them. They had 3 children – Ekta, Aman and Suraj. This entire family has now converted to Islam as Shah Bano’s family is willing to accept them if they change their religion.

Quoting from this news report :

We’ve been tortured both mentally and physically. I, my wife and children have faced unimaginable insult and torture from our own relatives and community. No one is ready to support my family and even marry my children, particularly my daughter who is of marriageable age now. My wife’s family had also cut all ties with her due to her marriage with me. But her kin finally agreed to support us and take care of the future of our children, if we adopted their religion,” Vinod Prakash Khare told journalists in Chhatarpur.

His graduate daughter Ekta broke into tears while narrating the pain and agony that they have faced for years. “We were never invited for any auspicious occasion or even deaths in my father’s family or among close relatives. Even when my grandfather died, my father was not allowed to carry his mortal remains.

When he placed money and flowers on his father’s mortal remains, it was thrown in a drain by his family,” said Ekta.

It is unfortunate that Hindu community (the particular family) has not been able to accept a Muslim woman who willingly took on Hindu name and lifestyle to live with the man she loved.  With rampant love jihad, sexual grooming of young girls by Islamic extremists, it is high time that Hindu society accepts people from other religions who are willingly entering the Hindu fold.

  1. Hinduism got doomed the day Lord Krishna left this world…What’s left today will end soon, because of Hindu assholes timid & narrow mindedness…

  2. This form of closed-mindedness hurts Hindus. Shivaji had worked actively against it, since at that time many Hindus had been forcibly converted, and they were being shunned by Hindu Samaj. In this particular case, a family has been forced to go over to the other side. Such cases were reported wholesale during the time Kashmiri Pandits were being forcibly converted too.
