A Hindu family has come forward to feed thousands of poor and ease the life of several poverty-stricken families who have been affected due to the lockdown enforced in the wake of the Wuhan virus pandemic. This positive news comes from Tenali in Andhra Pradesh (AP) where a Hindu family has employed women to cook and supply food to thousands of hungry people ever since the lockdown began.
Days have turned harder with the outbreak of covid -19 .From the first day of lockdown to till date ,a brahmin family in tenali ,AP have been offering food to nearly 1000 poverty-stricken everyday.The ladies here are employed by them and they work together for 18 hours every day. pic.twitter.com/h52BtS0xDz

The Vishnubhatla family has been providing meals to the poor and needy since the first day of the lockdown. Vishnubhatla Yagna and his family are devotees of Kanchi Mahaswami Jagadguru Shri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Swamigal are Veda Pandits and Nitya Agnihotris (ritual fire worshippers). The family runs the Sri Ramayana Navahnika Gnanayagna Trust under whose auspices they are running this service.

They also manage the Sri Chandrashekara Guru Paduka Peetham Temple in Tenali which has also been serving food to sanitation workers and others. They have also given Rs 100 along with a free pickle bottle to sanitation workers.

The Wuhan virus enforced lockdown has been a tough time especially for the marginalized citizens of the country. There is only so much any government can do. However, Bharatiyas who have always come forward during times of crisis has continued the time-honoured tradition of Annadaanam (donating food) which is considered the best form of donation (Shrestha Daan).
There are several Hindu organizations across the country that have come forward to make sure that no poor remains hungry. Besides several individuals have also taken it upon themselves to make the lives of their poor Bharatiya brothers and sisters easier in this hour of crisis.
It is such positive news even during these gloomy times that lifts our spirits and reinforces our belief in humanity and Bharatiya culture and values embedded in Hindu Dharma.
