After converting to Islam, man tries to marry his minor girls to Mewati men – Mathura, UP

In Mathura’s Madora village, there has been a bid to convert and forcefully marry off underage Hindu girls by their own father after he converted to Islam. The father who now calls himself ‘Kasif’ is forcing the minor girls to get married to Mewati Muslim grooms.

The recently converted father’s bid to convert and marry his minor daughters to Muslim grooms last month has created tension within his extended family and in the small Muslim-dominated village. The father, Kapoor Prajapati, reportedly converted to Islam under tutelage of one Tayyeb who has some kind of influence over him. His wife has also converted, it is said.

Mahendri Devi in conversation with Sudarshan News Reporter

Kapoor Prajapati’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Mahendri Prajapati, in an interview with Sudarshan News said that her devar (brother-in-law) wanted to marry his daughters off with Muslim boys of Mewat, Haryana. Her husband’s elder brother’s son, Dinesh, had also converted and become ‘Abduallh’. Her own family is being threatened and being forced to convert by these converted family members, who have threatened to kill her children if she doesn’t do as they say. Mahendri has 8 daughters and 1 son.

OpIndia also spoke to Mahendri. She told them that Kapoor had been accused in a murder case many years back and had also served 1 year in jail for that. Tayyeb and other Muslims vowed to protect him if he converted to Islam. Kapoor and Dinesh had also assaulted her to make her convert, with the last such assault taking place 5-6 months back; Mahendri tried to lodge a police complaint but was not heard.

Hindu organisations, who were informed by some locals, escalated the issue to senior police officers, after which Kasif (Kapoor) and Abdullah (Dinesh) were arrested. The police SHO Govardhan told OpIndia that police has been deployed in the village and the case is under investigation. In the school certificate, the elder girl is August 2002 born whereas younger one is July 2008 born.

Hindu Dal Raksha district head Rishi Kumar Sharma told OpIndia that the main accused Tayyeb is still at large and he is the mastermind of the whole thing. There was lot of anger among locals, but after intervention of a BJP leader’s son Jeetu, people agreed to give a week’s time to admin and police.

Editor’s Note

This disturbing incident demonstrates –

1.)How social dynamics change as demography changes; Hindus have already been driven out of Muslim-dominated Mewat region, and are now facing the heat in neighbouring districts like Mathura.

2.) Getting Hindu ‘idol worshippers’ to convert is a core doctrine of both Islam and Christianity. Fundamentalist followers of these global-majority religions have no compunction in using any and every means, even abusing the protection offered by a ‘secular state’ to achieve their goal.

3.)Muslims (and Christians) are highly organized from the lowest to highest level of our polity, and understand how to work the levers of government.

4.)Hindu ‘tolerance’ and apathy has left us highly vulnerable across the country. Our elites are totally delusional and disconnected from reality. The much derided ‘saffron’ organisations are the only ones fighting for Hindus, but they face an uphill battle due to entrenched Nehruvian attitudes and a hostile secular state.
