Eyewitnesses reveal role of ultra-leftists in Palghar mob lynching case

Investigation into the Palghar mob lynching case has taken a new turn and exposed the role of ‘ultra-left’ in the entire episode. The investigation has now revealed new facts and tribals (adivasis) from the area have revealed how ultra-leftists have been brainwashing resident tribals to manipulate and use them for their narrow political ends.

Palghar resident school teacher Chhagan Wavare says that leftist leaders are attempting to mislead tribal youth by brainwashing them into believing that adivasis are not Hindus. The leftists are using Social Media (SM) and WhatsApp (WA) as a tool to spread this belief and disconnect tribals from their Hindu roots so as to use these tribal youth as weapons in their political agenda. He cites the example of how communists have been propagating the belief in Palghar district’s Jawahar that Ravan and not Sri Ram is our God.

One of the eyewitnesses, recounting the horror, stated how he tried reaching out to his superiors and asked them for help in rescuing the Sadhus. He further stated that he informed them to notify the police as it was impossible for him to tackle the crowd which was huge in number and would attack him as well. The police arrived two hours after receiving the information. Another stated how they were threatened to stop the vehicle at the check post or risk being beaten up. Fearing for their lives the stopped the vehicle and the mob began questioning the sadhus where they had arrived from. When the sadhus informed them that they were coming from Nashik-Trimbakeshwar, the mob started pelting stones and attacking them.

Such misinformation is being spread to provoke the tribals against Hindus. Times Now which has brought this to light has stated how the mob lynching of the two sadhus and their driver wasn’t a one-off incident and how tribals in the region attacked a doctor just a couple of days before the gory Palghar mob lynching. It has now come out in the open that these weapon wielding tribals were in fact following the communist ideology and the Maoist imprint is absolutely clear. The locals have also confirmed that local leaders subscribe to Maoist ideology which led to the horrific mob lynching.

The channel has further pointed out the systemic failure of the Maharashtra government as the CID (Criminal Investigation Department) entrusted with the task of nabbing the more than 300 odd people involved in the conspiracy has caught just about 115 accused. Besides this more than half the accused are on the run and have conveniently hidden themselves in the forests surrounding the area and others have escaped to Union Territory Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

It is now as clear as daylight that the Maharashtra government overlooked the fact that ultra-leftists were involved and provoking the tribal youth against Hindus. Besides it has also emerged that the main accused is a CPIM member. The Maharashtra government is attempting to mollycoddle the left by absolving them in this well planned and co-ordinated conspiracy that took three innocent Hindu lives.

It is high time the Maharashtra government takes strict steps to arrest all those involved in this conspiracy and bring them to justice. Hindu lives matter and cannot be allowed to pass off as statistics.
