Cow Smugglers Threaten Woman With Gun, Fire At Police In Alwar, Rajasthan

Cow smugglers first threatened a woman at gunpoint before firing at police while stealing cattle in Alwar, Rajasthan.

The incident occurred at 80 Quarter, Scheme No. 10 area of Alwar. Last Saturday, around 1.30 at night, 4 smugglers were forcefully loading some cattle into a Tata-407 mini truck when they were spotted by a woman who raised an alarm.

People attending a nearby Mata Jagran rushed upon hearing her cries. But the smugglers brandished a country revolver at the woman and managed to escape with the cattle.

Kotwali police reached the spot and started chasing the traffickers – they also put up barricades at key junctions in the city. The smugglers fired at police in NIB police station area, but no one got hurt. However, the smugglers managed to flee.

Incidentally, cow traffickers had stolen a domestic cow tied in front of a house from the same area on 21 September as well.
