A News18 report has brought to the fore yet another shocking case of Love Jihad, this time in Danapur near the capital of Bihar, Patna; where a teacher lured  his minor student under the garb love and was hiding with her in Kolkata. As per reports the accused and his family were absconding for more than two months.

The Khagol police, located close to Patna, has arrested Math teacher Mohammad Danish and taken his 15 years old Hindu student into custody, from Danapur in Bihar. According to the police Danish absconded with his student two months ago and was trying to convert her to Islam.

Following her disappearance her father had registered a case of kidnapping against Danish and his family on the 17^th. After the incident Danish’s house was found to be locked and this raised suspicion about some untoward happening. 2 months and 13 days after Danish eloped with the 15 years old minor, Khagol police arrested Danish and his family members. The two have now been produced in court.

For the last couple of months Danish refused to marry her but kept the girl with him in Kolkata. Police have said that the matter is under investigation and they are yet to determine what the minor has been subjected to.

Despite the denial of the secular brigade, cases of Love Jihad (with most of the times minor Hindu girls being the target) are on the rise and sweeping the issue under the carpet would not help. It is time to take the bull by the horns and deal with this social menace called Love Jihad.
