Another Shootout between Cow Smugglers & Police in Rajasthan’s Alwar

Cow smuggling is rampant in Alwar district of Rajasthan, which is adjacent to Mewat (Meo) district of South Harayana, considered the hub of the illegal beef mafia in North Bharat.

In the latest such incident, one cow smuggler was arrested by police while 2 managed to flee when police intercepted a truck carrying 8 cows, as reported by news agency ANI. The traffickers shot few rounds at police during the encounter. The stolen cows are brutally stuffed into small trucks by smugglers and, not surprisingly, this time too 2 of the cows were found dead.

Just last week, we had reported the death of a Mewati cow smuggler, Taleem, during a shootout with police in the same Ramgarh town. On 9 November, villagers had clashed with cattle smugglers in which one smuggler, Umar Khan, resident of Pahari – district Bharatpur, died while another smuggler, Tahir Javed, got injured.

The death of Umar Khan had been widely reported in English language mainstream media –

Multiple MSM reports on death of cattle trafficker Umar Khan

Sample this Hindustan Times report, which hints that Umar Khan was an innocent, and links his death to ‘cow vigilante terror’. Using terms like ‘bovine transporters’ to define these well-armed cattle smuggling gangs, the HT report claims police did a ‘volte face’ by linking Umar Khan’s death with recovery of a badly-damaged pickup van with cows found few kms away from his body.

It was later found that Umar Khan had a history of cow-smuggling and his accomplice Tahir, who was injured in the incident, was a habitual offender. Yet, Rajasthan Muslim outfits met the Rajasthan police chief to demand a fair investigation into his death and social activists even took out a “justice march” to the chief minister’s residence.

Now, lets look at other recent incidents of cow smuggling reported from Alwar district of Rajasthan that HinduPost has tracked –

Dec 2017 (Ramgarh, Alwar) – Cow Smuggler Taleem from Mewat Killed In Shoot Out With Rajasthan Police

Nov 2017 (Ramgarh, Alwar)Cow smuggler Umar Khan killed by villagers in Alwar

Oct 2017 (Bhiwadi, Alwar) – Mewati Cattle Smugglers Fire 60 Rounds at Police, After Police is Tipped-Off By Gau Rakshaks

Sept 2017 (Alwar) – Cow Smugglers Threaten Woman With Gun, Fire At Police In Alwar, Rajasthan

It is evident that the Alwar district of Rajasthan has a serious cattle smuggling problem – people here are in terror of organized and well-armed cattle smuggling gangs who fear no one, not even police. But instead of reporting this as a law & order issue, MSM chooses to highlight instances when cow smugglers are killed as ‘human rights violations’.

We leave it up to the reader to decide what MSM’s objective is behind such skewed reporting, and why social activists/secular leaders/NGOs refuse to condemn rampant cattle smuggling by sections of Muslims.
