Agra school compels Hindu students to chant ‘Jai Bhim’, bans janeu and kalawa

Religious discrimination in the name of Ambedkarism forced Hindu parents from Maa Baikunthi Devi Sarvodaya Inter College, Agra to lodge a complaint against the school.

As part of brainwashing young minds, tilaks on the forehead are forbidden and students are forced to raise slogans against Sanatan Hindu Dharma. The school administration actively promotes anti-Hindu activities and forces Hindu children not to wear Janeu (sacred thread worn by Hindu males) and Kalawa (sacred ritual thread for protection).

Teaching staff actively encourage students to stop following Hindu Dharma. Students alleged that they were compelled to say Jai Bhim and doing so is compulsory on school premises. Hindu activists and parents testified that anti-Hindu statements of Phule and Ambedkar scribbled on class boards greet their children.

The educational institution is run by Shyam Prakash Bodhi, a former councilor from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). He has a history of controversies and had earlier rented out the school for 5 years but has been running it on his own for the past few years. Inter colleges are central government-funded schools found mostly in states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Andhra Pradesh.

Objectionable anti-Hindu literature is plastered all over the walls. Contempt for Hindu temples is evident and attempts are being made to convert students to Ambedkarism. The college management insulted Sanatana Dharma with posters that proclaim that visiting temples leads to mental slavery. It also says that temple bells remind one of superstition and hypocrisy.

The discrimination and the writings on the wall forced Pawan Samadhiya, a parent to approach the police with the evidence. Pawan alleged that the school authorities threaten them with expulsion as and when they complain. They stayed silent till now but could not take the mental torture any longer.

Hindu organizations took up the cause and Samadhiya too filed a complaint and handed over the images of the provocative literature. He promised an agitation if no action is taken against such public anti-Hindu activities.

Etmaddulah Police Station Officer Devendra Shankar Pandey said that the police are investigating the matter. The college authorities maintain that the allegations are baseless and that ‘respect’ for all religions is being taught but evidence points to the contrary.
