Lutyens’ Delhi Maintains Deafening Silence on Temple Desecration in the Heart of the Capital

The desecration & vandalisation of a Hindu temple in the heart of the capital by Muslim miscreants has not even stirred the pseudo-seculars & Lutyens’ Delhi’s elite lobby of journalists who were only a few kilometres away from the temple site.

They have inhaled an over dose of silence. Only a few days ago they were articulating voraciously their views on Hindutva & Hindu fundamentalism on TV channels but not a word on the temple vandalization.

The role of the Delhi police which tried to cover up the dastardly act by replacing the shattered glasses of the murti enclosures instead of reaching the temple site on time & providing timely protection to the victims also comes under the scanner.

The Delhi CM’s silence on this temple vandalism in Chandni Chowk is shocking but not surprising. TMC MP Moitra who was voicing eloquently in parliament on human rights & fascism has suddenly lost her voice. Another MP, Owaisi, who is a known Modi basher & has an opinion on everything, was nowhere to be seen.

The peacenik lobby who talk about the country’s health & threats from the glitzy boulevards of Lutyens’ Delhi which is only a few kilometres away from the desecrated temple have gone into hibernation.

Now just imagine if a nondescript mosque in a remote corner of the country had been vandalised, all hell would have broken loose in the country. The Owaisis & the Moitras would have created a ruckus in parliament . The Opposition would have stalled all proceedings in both the houses. The peacenik lobby along with the Lutyens’ media would have wasted no time in organising protests at Jantar Mantar & Kejriwal would have wasted no time in sitting on a fast.

Democracy would have come under immediate danger & the vanquished opposition which has not uttered a word in condemnation, would have blamed it on the saffron party without batting an eyelid.

There would have been demonstrations from Kashmir Valley till Kerela. TV channels would have created a furore & raked up religious sentiments calling it a blatant attack on minorities. The Maulanas & the Maulvis would have issued fatwas.

These hypocrites have been exposed so many times and the nation’s mandate is testimony to the fact. Inspite of the continuous rant against Modi by a section of the media, the voter did not pay heed to their false narrative & exercised his or her acumen in making the right choice for the country.

Hindus need to rise robustly against such acts of vandalism against their faith & shrines, as a muted response from the Hindu community would be construed as taking things lying down.

Our Constitution guarantees equal rights to all citizens, be it Minorities or the Majority. The sanctity of all religious places needs to be maintained & there should be no reason why the condemnation & law should be soft when a temple is vandalised. This cowardly act of desecration of a Hindu temple in the nation’s capital & the deafening silence of these hypocrites has exposed them further in the eyes of the nation.

Their agenda has been exposed beyond doubt but the good thing is that these opinion makers failed to influence the opinion of the masses inspite of their best efforts & insinuations. The MHA has rightly stepped in & hauled up the Delhi police. It is hoped that the miscreants are brought to book at the earliest. Hindu religion & faith has a lot of tolerance as history has shown, but there are limits to that tolerance.
