Letter to Home Ministry seeking cancellation of Jan Vikas NGO’s FCRA license

Legal rights body LRPF has written a letter to the Union Home Ministry Home seeking immediate cancellation of FCRA registration of NGO Jan Vikas. The Gujarat-based NGO is accused of committing severe violations of FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act), at behest of as its radical foreign donors, thereby sabotaging the nation’s sovereignty and integrity.

LRPF’s letter to the Home ministry is reproduced below (emphasis added and slight changes done to enhance readability):

“Subject:  Seeking immediate cancellation of FCRA registration number 041910132 of Jan Vikas, Gujarat, for severe violation of FCRA norms.

Respected Sir/Madam,

We want to draw your immediate attention to violations committed by Jan Vikas, Gujarat while acting on behalf of its radical FCRA donors, thus undermining Bharat’s internal security and Sovereignty.

We have also submitted a year-wise breakup of its finances, where It has received more than Rs 65 crore from these donors, including detailed profiling of their donors.

Donor Profiling:

Misereor:

Misereor is a Germany based FCRA patron of Jan Vikas, Gujarat, and funds around 476 missionary-evangelical projects across Bharat. Apart from funding Catholic Evangelical projects, Misereor is also connected to Naxalite terror convict Fr Stan Swamy and has also financed organizations run by Delhi riots mastermind Harsh Mander. It also actively funds Colin Gonsalves run HRLN (Human Rights Law Network) that has provided legal aid to Delhi riot convicts and murderers in the past, followed by providing legal assistance to NCPCR-chargesheeted child doxxing accused like Mohammed Zubair (co-founder of controversial ‘fact-checking’ site AltNews).

Apart from financing entities aiming to disrupt Bharatiya interests and its internal security, Misereor also attempted to sabotage Bharatiya defence capabilities by sabotaging the Indo-French Rafale deal. It is quite clear that the Rafale deal had seriously rattled Bharat’s enemy states, and elements within Bharat tried their best to halt the deal, principally by dubious legal activism.

Attempts were also made internationally to stop the sale of Rafael jets to Bharat, where NGOs like Sherpa filed a complaint with the national financial prosecutor’s office in Paris against the Rafale aircraft deal.

While digging for Sherpa’s primary sponsors, an Investigative piece by K Bhattacharjee published in Opindia revealed its links to Misereor and even to OXFAM, which is pursuing an exclusive agenda to defame the Bharatiya tea industry.

It is more than a coincidence that Misereor turns up as the primary financial backbone of entities actively trying to hurt Bharat’s interests both inside and outside Bharat. Therefore, the chances are that Misereor is strategically financing these entities and its probable involvement with enemy states cannot be overlooked without a prior investigation.

Christian Aid UK:

Christian Aid UK is the primary FCRA patron of Jan Vikas, Gujarat, and masquerades as a relief organisation while funding dubious religious conversions of people across the world. In the past, Christian Aid UK had proactively promoted various protests in Bharat and its Bharatiya subsidiary Ekta Parishad was seen leading from the forefront.

Reported in UK newspaper ‘The Guardian’

Sir/Madam, it is important to mention that Christian Aid is a foreign organization and its involvement in funding and organising protests inside Bharat is direct meddling in Bharat’s internal affairs. While investigating Jan Vikas, Gujarat, we couldn’t locate any details of their work or their members. Thus, the chances of Jan Vikas, being a shell organization and routing FCRA money on behalf of Christian Aid, Misereor to fund protests inside Bharat cannot be ruled out. Therefore, Christian Aid activities and their funding to other organizations, including Jan Vikas need to be analyzed properly.

In another instance, Christian Aid posted a picture of an Bharatiya juvenile picking up rags and revealed his name and used his picture across platforms to raise funds. This act is a direct violation of the Juvenile Justice Act and amounts to invading a child’s right to privacy. Christian Aid also wilfully abstained from informing the same to the Child rights body. Sir/Madam, for the above violation we want your office to direct NCPCR for immediate action.

In a Facebook post, Christian Aid claims there are various locations where individuals from the Dalit community are allegedly forced to work in hazardous chemical farm jobs. Sir/Madam, it is to be noted that, forcing a particular community to work in a potentially dangerous environment against their will is a crime. Moreover, suppose people from the Dalit community are being forced to work in such hazardous places. In that case, it will affect the mental and physical health of these individuals and their children. Therefore Sir/Madam,  your office must direct NCPCR to summon the Christian Aid leaders to collect details on these undisclosed locations and initiate strict police action at the earliest.

Sir/madam, it is also important to note that apart from Misereor and Christian Aid UK, Navsarjan Trust was also a regular patron of Jan Vikas before its FCRA license was canceled by your office following adverse field reports by your agency

https://www.dnaindia.com/india/report-fcra-cancellation-forces-ngo-to-lay-off-its-80-odd-staff-2285971

Sir/ Madam, after analyzing these three major donors of Jan Vikas, it is clear that this NGO acts solely on behalf of these radical FCRA donors to fulfil their vested interests which are counterproductive to Bharat’s internal security and sovereignty. Moreover, we also found that Navsarjan Trust, whose FCRA license was canceled by your office in 2016 is, in reality, a Bharatiya branch of Misereor and this makes the case for cancellation of the FCRA license of Jan Vikas even stronger.

Navsarjan Trust acted on behalf of Misereor, and the adverse field report of its activities was just a manifestation of the orders it received from Misereor. Hence Sir/Madam, it is amply clear that Jan Vikas works for the same goals that Navsarjan Trust worked for, and so your office must suspend the FCRA license of Jan Vikas with immediate effect.”
