No, Chanakya Is Not A Fantasy, But Devdutt’s Self-Proclaimed ‘Scholarship’ Certainly Is As He Writes Like A Deracinated Missionary Stooge

“No, Chanakya Is Not A Fantasy, But Devdutt’s Self-Proclaimed ‘Scholarship’ Certainly Is As He Writes Like A Deracinated Missionary Stooge”, The Commune, November 15, 2025

“On 9 November 2025, mythological fiction author Devdutt Pattanaik, known for his fantasy book series, posted about an article he wrote for The New Indian Express.

The article was titled “A fantasy called Chanakya”, with a byline. “The legend of Chanakya is simply this trans-civilisational script recast as Indian patriotism, with a dash of casteism”

  1. I see this title and the description describing Devdutt Pattanaik as “Deracinated Missionary Stooge” and then I see his apparantly smirking smiling picture. Somehow I feel that he is well supported by anarchic Mohammadan and dhimmi elements and gets his self-validation and self-importance when sincere Hindus feel hurt and call him names.

Sometime back, he also wrote about non-violence and vegetarianism with his usual shallowness (possibly deliberately) of studies and writing in a deliberately distorted manner to mock Hindu faithfuls. He just need to pose as having academic gravitas, so that lay people may be influenced by him and vested people may quote him with academic air.

Given such situation, I would suggest sincere Hindus to not describe him with words that may appear as ad hominem attacks.
If TheCommuneMag, HinduPost and other disagree with him, better use words that describe his work and not him. Otherwise, lay people may get distracted and academic people may avoid reading/quoting our valid points raised.
