Neutering Hindus : how the narrative and its builders make Hindus passive

On 23 December 1926, Swami Shraddhanada of the Arya Samaj was killed by a Muslim assassin named Abdul Rashid. The reason was the same one that often leads to so much terrorism and beheading in our own time. Three days later at the annual session of the Congress at Guwahati, Gandhiji moved a resolution saying.

If you hold dear the memory of Swami Shraddhanandji, you would help in purging the atmosphere of mutual hatred and calumny. Now you will perhaps understand why I have called Abdul Rashid a brother and I repeat it. I do not even regard him as guilty of Swamiji’s murder. Guilty indeed are all those who excited feelings of hatred against one another

At Mahatma Gandhi’s behest, funds were collected for the legal defence of Rashid in the courts. When he was sentenced to capital punishment by the British, there were over fifty thousand people in his funeral procession at Kolkata.

In this whole episode, Islamists, with generous help of secular Hindus, had successfully projected the murderer as some sort of martyr and also managed to shift the blame elsewhere. Islam had already become established as the religion of peace. The situation remains almost unchanged approximately a century later.

False equivalences

Recently, a century old temple was destroyed in KPK in Pakistan. Hundreds of Pakistani Muslims razed it to the ground in a pre-planned manner. During the same time in Madhya Pradesh, a few Hindutvavadi activists took off the flag of a mosque after being stone pelted from the holy place. Captured on video is also a single person trying to hit the minaret of a mosque with a stick or a sword. In any case, it would have only dented the sword and not harmed even the plaster of the the mosque.

However, the commentary on the events would lead you to believe that Bharat and Hindus are to blame for everything. For example, here is what senior advocate Prashant Bhushan wrote on twitter.

They would have us draw a false equivalence between complete destruction of a temple with removing a flag from a mosque, that too after Islamist fanatics pelted stones on Hindu activists minding their own business. They would cry hoarse about Babri, but say not a single word against destruction of more than a thousand temples in retaliation by Islamists in Pakistan, Bangladesh and even in Bharat. While discussing this, it must also be remembered that Pakistan has less than 30 temples remaining, while Bharat has lakhs of mosques with new ones being erected every week!

Islamists and the secular cabal tried the same trick with Munawar Faruqi case. The alleged comedian was performing in Indore and apparently used some undesirable words for Hindu Gods. Some people from the audience and some others from a Hindu organisation stopped Faruqi from doing so and handed him and his associates over to police. Now this is being compared with the gruesome beheading of Samuel Paty by Islamists in Paris! So, a few slaps are now sought to be equated with a gruesome beheading. Curiously, those who slap are “fascists” in the language of these people and those who kill are probably genuinely outraged Muslims.

The role of useful idiots

The term useful idiots here denotes those non-Muslims, who further the Islamist propaganda for some gain, due to their one sided application of “liberal values”, or in the mistaken belief that it will somehow appease the Islamists. Yet, history has shown that they are completely wrong.

However, the Islamists extract the maximum benefit possible from them. It is they, who give legitimacy to the wild and unfounded allegations of Islamists. So a situation arises in which all Muslims support their religious brethren, like in case of Abdul Rashid, while many Hindus take position against their own! There is no doubt that these useful idiots would probably be discarded the moment their utility is over.

Conclusion

However, for the moment, Islamists along with their useful idiots manage to confuse a lot of us and also determine how Bharat and Hindus are perceived internationally. Leave Paris, in Bharat itself Kamlesh Tiwari was gruesomely beheaded because he dared to mock the prophet of Muslims. This year’s Bangalore violence originated from a facebook post. However, all that probably reflects genuine hurt feelings of Islamists and gives them a right to terrorize and murder.

Handing over a comedian that mocked Hindu Gods to police is, however, an unpardonable offence. The attempts by Gandhiji and his intellectual descendants seek to guilt trip Hindus in becoming passive, in tolerating worst of atrocities against Dharma and not raise even a finger. On the other hand, Islamist bigotry and its atrocities are minimized, whitewashed and falsely equated to Hindu resistance. Fortunately, Hindus have started to see through the ruse.
