The NIA may lodge a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in connection with the inputs received by the intelligence agencies that Khalistani terrorists may strike at several places in Mumbai.
The input was received by intelligence agencies few days ago and it was shared with the Mumbai Police.
As per news agency ANI, a senior officer said that after Jaswinder Singh Multani, a member of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) who was allegedly linked to Ludhiana court blast, was detained and questioned in Germany, they have received inputs regarding planned terror activities in Mumbai and other big cities.
“We have received inputs that apart from SJF, other banned pro-Khalistan groups are in contact with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) to execute terror activity in Mumbai, Delhi and other cities,” he said.
As per the intelligence alert, Mumbai Police has been asked to remain vigilant, and Quick Reaction teams and bomb squads have been instructed to be on toes on New Year’s eve. New Year celebrations and gatherings are already prohibited in Mumbai. All leaves and weekly offs of Mumbai Police personnel have been cancelled.
After the Home Ministry reportedly asked NIA to look into the case, the premier agency for dealing with terror-related crimes is expected to form a team to look into the matter.
SFJ is a designated terror group in Bharat; this US-based organization is spearheaded by lawyer Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. He has many a times expressed solidarity with Pakistan, despite atrocities on Sikhs in that country. He is on record saying “if India ever attacked Pakistan, the Pro-Khalistan Sikhs will extend full support to Pakistan” in a letter to Pakistan PM Imran Khan.
Pannun was an active supporter of the recent ‘farmers’ protest which crippled Delhi’s border areas and saw heavy infiltration by Khalistani elements. The toolkit used to spread propaganda for that protest revealed the nexus between Kashmiri and Khalistani terrorists, aided and abetted by Pakistan, with some White Christian missionary ‘experts’ like Peter Friedrich also roped in.
Despite some Western think-tanks analyzing the danger posed by these Pakistan-backed radical terrorist groups to both Bharat and their host countries, the Anglosphere deep state continues to provide safe harbor to them in order to keep Bharat in check and in pursuit of its own geopolitical goals.
