Hindu woman gang-raped by 2 Muslim men after mother-in-law held at gunpoint; police apathy alleged: Baghpat, UP

A Hindu woman was gang-raped in Hilwari village, Baraut tehsil of Baghpat district on September 23 by two Muslim men. The victim alleges that police refused to lodge a complaint or take any action, and an FIR was lodged only after the courts intervened.

But the accused are yet to be arrested, as per this Dainik Bhaskar report from last week.

The woman had gone to the fields to gather vegetables along with her mother-in-law, when they were accosted by three men – Furqan, Shaukeen and Bhura. Bhura held her mother-in-law hostage at gun point, while the other two dragged her into the fields and raped her one after the other.

Such crimes seem to occur routinely in Baraut, and other parts of western UP where Muslim population is fast growing. In October, a teenager was dragged out of her house in Baraut at gunpoint by a Muslim youth, taken to the fields and raped.

In January, a grooming jihad case had been reported from Baraut where a minor Hindu girl was sexually abused and blackmailed by Mohammed Shakir aka ‘Shivam’. In 2020, another grooming jihad case had been reported from Baraut when a Muslim doctor assumed a fake Hindu identity to sexually exploit a divorced Hindu nurse and later blackmailed, assaulted and tried to convert her to Islam.

  1. Such cases are now not daily, they are multiple times per day. And they are happening from more and more locations. Basically, Hindu Samaj is under siege from encroaching and growing Islamic population. Notice that even in spite of Yogi’s tough action, UP sees a lot of these incidents.
