The family stays at the Vikas Bhavan Police Quarters, near Palayam, in the middle of Thiruvananthapuram city. The victim was found unconscious in her bedroom last week. She was admitted to the hospital, but doctors could not save her life.

Investigators conducted a detailed examination of the room where the girl was found unconscious. It is reported that narcotic drugs have been recovered from here. Museum police investigators concluded that the young girl was addicted to narcotic drugs.
