Christian neighbours organise prayer meet to disturb Ayyappa bhajan

Harassment of Hindus is only getting worse in Andhra Pradesh with a Christian CM at helm as a video of Ayyappa devotee from Vijayawada shows. The devotee was harassed by Christian neighbours who blasted their speakers to drown out bhajan.

An Ayyappa devotee who had taken Ayyappa deeksha to take a pilgrimage to Sabarimala had posted a video on social media. The devotee from Krishna Lanka, Vijayawada had planned to have Bhajan at his home as part of his vrat. In the video he says that he had informed his neighbours who are Christians to not play songs or pray loudly as there us going to be a bhajan at his house.

Despite respectfully being told to not create disturbance, the Christian neighbours organised a prayer meeting exactly at the time of bhajan. They played music loudly and prayed. The Ayyappa devotee, striving for patience, again asked them to be tolerant and reduce the noise. But they didn’t listen and the determined Ayyappa devotee played Ayyappa songs on speaker in an even louder volume. From the looks of it the neighbour is using a residential property for religious activities which is clearly against law.

Christians, especially Pentecostals, create noise pollution in the name of worship. They use the trick of playing Christian songs and praying loudly to not only get the attention of non-Christians but mentally harass them as well. There have been cases of Hindus who stood steadfast against conversion attempts being harassed through this method. Badagas of Nilgiris faced a similar situation when a few Christian families converted out of their tribe, created noise pollution in the name of worshiping to spoil Badaga children’s studies.

Such people should be booked for polluting the environment. But it is Hindus who are harassed for negligible pollution on one day in a year snatching the joy of bursting firecrackers from the children.
