Punjab college withdraws controversial order expelling Hindu students from hostel for opposing Kashmiri separatist students

Baba Farid college in Bhatinda, Punjab ordered 4 Hindu students from Bihar to vacate their hostel rooms, pay for ‘damages’ caused and threatened them with further action accusing them of disciplinary issues following incidents that occurred on the October 30.  Following huge public outcry the college canceled the suspicious order and ordered a ‘detailed inquiry’ by an internal committee.

4 students from Bihar watched the T20 match between Bharat & Pakistan on the night of October 24. Bharat unfortunately lost and the students heard Pakistan Zindabad slogans coming from the hostel corridors where the Kashmiri students were staying.

The young patriots tried to contact Lakhbir Singh the hostel warden but mysteriously his mobile phone was switched off. Feeling that treason should be questioned they decided to confront the anti-nationals and went to the corridor allegedly armed with cricket bats & wickets. They warned the Kashmiris not to indulge in such activities.

Lakhbir summoned Kumar Kartikey Ojha, Ayush Kumar Tiwari, Ujjwal Pandey, and Aayush Kumar Jaiswal the next day after identifying them in the CCTV footage. Why did the college fail to react to the pro enemy nation slogans remains unanswered.

He forced them to write an ‘apology’ and warned them not to indulge in such activities. Though no action was initiated against the pro-Pakistan sloganeers the Hindu students hoped that the issue was over and agreed to ‘apologize’.

However, the same pattern followed on the night of October 29 following the Afghanistan defeat at the hands of Pakistan. Allegedly, this time around the 4 students from Bihar assaulted some of the Kashmiri anti-nationals.

On October 30 the college management asked them to vacate the hostel premises with immediate effect and issued the above-mentioned controversial order. The Hindu students were not allowed to present their side of the story and yet again no action was taken against the Muslim students. Deprived of basic rights, the Bihar students uploaded stories of discrimination against Hindus on social media.

BJP leader Kapil Mishra took up their case and pledged unconditional support for the Bihari students. Thousands took up the issue on social media and asked for action against the traitors.

The next day, on November 1 the controversial order was revoked by the college management, and the status quo was retained. Media reports suggested that Lakhbir did a u-turn when asked about the notice. The college management decided not to entertain questions from the media and calls to them went unanswered. Unless the central government steps in and takes strict action against these colleges, such incidents will continue to haunt our children.

The national and international pro-Pakistan/ Kashmiri separatists/ Khalistan media that ran stories of Hindu students being kicked/ shunted out of their hostels comfortably missed out on the mischief that the Muslim students had created. The revocation orders never came to their notice.

It is alleged that Baba Farid institutions woo Kashmiri separatists with advertisements in the valley offering them special discounts. Such students end up receiving scholarships, subsidies, benefits, and facilities that the central and state governments provide. They then raise slogans like ‘Azadi’ and openly support enemy nations.

When others question such attitudes on campus, they play their victim card and escape punishment. Similar incidents of anti-nationalism were reported from other parts of the country. In Kashmir, 2 cases have been lodged against such anti-nationals under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) from medical college hostels in Srinagar.

Students who stand up for Bharat should be provided with extensive legal aid and all student bodies should support them. Such ISI-sponsored rebellions should be resisted using all means possible. Desperate Hindu parents sending their children to such institutions speaks volumes about the educational system in Bharat. We seem to have lost our Gurukul system as also nationalistic values that must be the prerogative of education.
