Genocidal anti-Brahmin, anti-Baniya graffiti surfaces in ultra-left den JNU

Genocidal graffiti threatening Brahmin and Baniya Hindu communities with a blood bath has appeared in taxpayer-funded premier public university Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The chilling slogans were found on the walls in the School of International Studies-II building on the university campus in the nation’s capital, and some accounts mention slogans were also seen in School of Languages Literature and Cultural Studies 2.

Slogans include– “Brahmins leave the campus”, “There will be blood”, “Brahmin Bharat Chhodo (Brahmins leave Bharat)” and “Brahmino-Baniyas, we are coming for you…We will avenge”. Apart from these, a common message “Go back to Shakha” (referring to RSS shakhas) was scrawled all over the doors of 3 faculty members – Nalin Kumar Mohapatra, Raj Yadav, Pravesh Kumar, and Vandana Mishra.

JNU has long been a den of Marxist and communist thought, especially its humanities departments. The Left considers this university its stronghold and since its establishment (April 22, 1969), it has dominated JNU’s politics, with outbreaks of violence being a common occurrence. The university is a melting pot of all kinds of BreakingIndia and Hindu-hating forces – communists of all hues, Islamists, neo-Ambedkarites, Periyarists, evangelists, secular-liberals, as was witnessed during the ‘Bharat tere tukde honge’ (Bharat will be broken into pieces) protests, involving the likes of Umar Khalid and Kanhaiya Kumar, held to commemorate the death anniversary of the terrorist Afzal Guru.

As per journalist Shubham Sharma, a ‘Jai Bhim’ slogan was also scrawled on the walls, hinting at the possible involvement of neo-Ambedkarite/radical Dalitists in the dastardly act.

The JNU administration has issued a note stating “The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Santishree D. Pandit has taken serious note of the incident of defacement of walls & faculty rooms by some unknown elements in SIS, JNU. The Dean, School of International Studies & Grievances Committee have been asked to inquire & submit a report to VC at the earliest”.

JNU Teacher’s Forum took it to Twitter and wrote, “While the Left-Liberal gang intimidates every dissenting voice, they appeal to elect EC representatives that “can assert the values of mutual respect and civility, & equal & just treatment of all.” ‘civility’ & ‘mutual respect. Highly deplorable act of vandalism! The ordeal of ‘civility’ and ‘mutual respect’ never ends.”

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has called this incident an example of Left barbarism. In their statement, they said, “ABVP condemns the rampant vandalization of academic spaces by communist goons. The communists have written abuses on walls of JNU in School of International Studies- II building. They have defaced chambers of free thinking professors in order to intimidate them. The communists have once again targeted the same female faculty whom they had held hostage for more than 3 days on 8th Nov 2019.”

JNU ABVP president Rohit Kumar said, “We believe that academic spaces should be used for debate and discussion and not for poisoning in the society and the community of students. There is no place for hate and abuse here.” He added that the JNU has become a hate factory.

Such hate-crimes against Hindus, especially general category (misleadingly labeled ‘upper caste’) Hindus, are steadily rising due to gradual mainstreaming of anti-Hindu icons and rhetoric in our so-called secular Republic. Whether it is EV Ramasamy (‘Periyar’), Jyotiba Phule, Jawaharlal Nehru, MK Gandhi, Dr. BR Ambedkar, or missionary evangelists like Robert Caldwell – a critical analysis of all historic personalities, end of hero worship, and rejection of views which haven’t stood the test of time is urgently needed, before such hateful rhetoric eventually leads to mass violence and genocide.
