After a Muslim mob barged into a Hindu temple at Malanggad interrupting the arati, comes the report of a Muslim mob stopping Hindus from celebrating Holika Dahan in Akola by pouring water and dousing the ritualistic fire leading to an altercation between both the communities.
As per available information, around 200-300 Muslim fanatics gathered at Pola chowk in Akola where a Hanuman temple is located and Hindus were lighting the Holika Dahan bonfire as is the custom on the eve of Rang Panchami/Holi. The Muslim mob then went on to douse the fire. It is significant to note that it is a Muslim-majority area.
Maharashtra BJP SM member Swanand Kondolikar shared the video and put out a tweet saying:
There is an ancient Hanuman temple (Udasi Math) at Pola Chowk, Akola. The temple is in a Muslim-majority area. This temple has been neglected for the last several years. But for the last few months, Hindu youths in the area have started performing Hanuman Chalisa and Aarti every Saturday.

One can clearly see in the video that while Hindus were celebrating Holika Dahan, a Muslim mob gathered around to stop them from continuing the celebrations. After the Muslim mob doused the fire, a scuffle broke between both the communities.
There has been no official communication from either the police or the administrative authorities from Akola regarding the incident. However, it must be noted that this is the second such incident around the Hindu festival after the Malanggad one.
Muslim-majority areas are becoming a hell-hole for Hindus and the Muslim appeasement policy of the Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA government is only encouraging Islamists to behave more aggressively where the numbers are on their side.
