Hindus protest against Christian proselytization, distribution of anti-Hindu material, & free bible by missionaries at Delhi Book Fair

United Hindu Front (UHF) thwarted proselytization attempts by Christian missionaries at the World Book in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan. The protests took place on Wednesday (March 1) after it came to light that missionaries were distributing objectionable content against Hindus. The missionaries were also found to be distributing free bible and influencing non-Christians to accept Christianity as their new faith.

“The United Hindu Front protested against Christian missionaries spreading propaganda against Hindu Dharma and distributing objectionable material and demands strict action against them”, UHF tweeted.

As per reports, Christian missionaries were attempting to brainwash Hindus by distributing material slandering Sanatan Dharma. UHF has asked for the removal of the missionaries’ stall while adding that the Christian missionaries were trying to prepare Hindus for conversion through such content. The organization highlighted that the books were distributed freely even to children.

“A protest broke out at the book fair after United Hindu Front’s national vice president Dharmendra Bedi reached the venue, along with Delhi chief Rahul Manchanda and other workers of the organisation. According to Jai Bhagwan Goyal, International Executive President of the Front and National President of Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena, people working for the Christian missionaries were talking ill about Hindus and were convincing them to leave Hinduism and adopt Christianity”, reported India Today.

Goyal accused the Kejriwal government of encouraging Christian missionaries due to which religious conversions are taking place openly in Delhi. He has asked the administration and police to take stringent action against those indulging in evangelism.

In the meanwhile, as is its wont, the Islamist handle Hindutva Watch made misleading claims about the protests that were busted.

Gideons International is a group of men working as an extended missionary arm of the church. “It is the oldest association of Christian business and professional men in the United States of America founded in 1899. Being laymen, Gideons serve as ‘missionaries’ of the local church—seeking to go to the far corners of the world to win others for Christ”, notes a Ministry Watch article.

“The association has almost 300,000 members, located in over 193 countries of the world. They are united in carrying out the same program, using the same methods, to accomplish the one objective of winning others to Christ”, the article further says.

The method employed by the group is distributing the bible. It distributes complete Bibles, New Testaments, or portions of it and is said to have these copies printed in 108 languages. The evangelical organization places these bible copies in hotel rooms. However, it is finding it difficult to carry out evangelism in the US.

While Islamist Hinduphobic Twitter handles like Hindutva Watch are quick to spread falsehoods about protests by Hindus, the Islamist-Leftist organizations remain conveniently blind to the fact that no Islamist nation accepts the propagation of any faith. All Islamic nations have restrictions of various degrees on even the practice of non-Islamic faiths.

Only in Bharat, does the cabal spin mere protests by the ‘majority’ as an ‘attack on minorities’. Will the cabal speak on Pakistan where Christians are actually attacked or any other Islamic nation? Obviously, that doesn’t fit their propaganda.

Secularism has become a convenient stick to beat Hindus with. However, the Hindu community has become aware of the tactics of evangelists and is raising its voice against the slander of Hindu Dharma.
