In their rootlessness and blind adoption of whatever the secular elites tell them is ‘cool and inclusive’, many Hindus have lost the ability to discriminate between right and wrong. Reducing our own profound Dharma to just another song and dance routine is one such issue.
Singer Himesh Reshammiya was asked to come and sing songs for a Garba program in Morbi, Gujarat. But it is alleged that after he sang the song ‘Ali Maula’, local Hindus gathered in protest and stopped the show. Reshammiya was allegedly forced to leave and activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal warned the organizers of the garba event to avoid such secular experiments going forward.
‘Ali Maula’ is a song dedicated to Ali, the son-in-law and cousin of Islam’s Prophet Mohammad, who became Caliph of Islamic world between 656-661 CE. Clearly, such a song is inappropriate for an event dedicated to celebrating Maa Durga in all her glorious forms. Other Hindu religious/spiritual leaders like Sadhguru and Morari Bapu have also received flak in the past for injecting ‘Ali Maula’ type songs and qawwalis into Hindu discourses and festival celebrations.
In another garba event in Surat, it was found that Muslim bouncers using fake Hindu names had been hired by the organizers and these bouncers were giving entry willy-nilly; the said bouncers were soon made to leave by Bajrang Dal members.
Islamist men try to infilitrate garba events every year to molest, harass and stalk Hindu girls and resort to violence when Hindus protest. Such attacks, including an acid attack on a girl, and attempts have been reported from several places like Bikaner, Indore, Amdavad (Ahmedabad), Jabalpur, Kheda, Mandsaur, Pali (2019 case) etc.
He should not be allowed to participate…useless creature..
To sing about founders of a religion that destroyed countless mandirs on our navaratri must rank as a great absurdity, one only hindus are capable of, sadly.
