50 families return to Hindu fold, 600 families in touch with VHP for Ghar Wapsi: Farrukhabad, UP

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) recently conducted the Ghar Wapsi of 50 families and its 600 more families have reportedly contacted the organization for their Ghar Wapsi as well. The event took place in a school in Fatehgarh’s Pul Mandi.

Those who returned to the Hindu fold, amidst chants of mantras, were presented Hanuman Chalisa and a Kalava was tied on their wrists. Most of these families hail from the Gwaltoli area in Fatehgarh. Gwaltoli resident and wife of teacher Sujit Valmiki, Ritu, who reconverted to Hindu Dharma from Christianity, said that she was happy and had started puja-path of the Hindu Devis and Devatas whose pratimas she has consecrated in her house.

Ritu further stated that she had embraced Christianity and began visiting the Church after coming under the influence of some people five years ago. She said she subsequently realized that Hindu Dharma is the best. With the help of teacher Jaygopal, she was able to attend the VHP program.

VHP District President Dinesh Tomar said they were on a pilgrimage when they were informed of those who had approached the organization for conversion being ready to return to the Hindu fold. He further stated they returned halfway from their pilgrimage to conduct the event.

VHP’s Shubham Sarveshwar said in his media statement that 50 families have returned to Hindu Dharma under the Dharma Raksha Sankalp Abhiyan. These people had converted 10 years ago after being influenced to accept another religion.
