A three-member inquiry committee of a Kerala based church has declared an interfaith marriage solemnized by the Syro Malabar Church between a Catholic woman and a Muslim man as invalid reports Times of India.
The committee has ruled that there were serious lapses by two senior priests, who have now been officially reprimanded and Archbishop Mar George Alencherry has ordered a probe into the incident. It also stated that the marriage, which had taken place on 9 November, did not follow Canon law.
Available information indicates that the bride is from Irinjalakkuda while her groom who is a Muslim is from Kochi.
A Senior Syro Malabar Church priest has issued a statement to the media in this regard:
“The commission collected details from the priests and bishops of Irinjalakkuda and Ernakulam-Angamaly archdiocese and submitted a report to the major archbishop. It stated that the marriage did not follow Canon law and was hence invalid”
The church takes serious exception to love grooming cases while the Lutyens secular cabal and so-called secular parties want Hindus to brush aside any such concerns. Those who want Hindus to brush the grooming jihad concerns under the carpet would certainly not have any such advice for the Church.
