“Bihar: “Har Har Mahadev” reverberates in Patna’s Narayan Babu street, after unearthing of a centuries-old Shiva temple”, Organiser, January 7, 2025:

“In a significant development that has elated the adherer of Sanatan Dharma; a centuries old “Shiva temple” was unearthed in Alamganj area of Bihar’s capital Patna.

The newly discovered temple is said to be made of black granite. The discovery was made following a land subsidence incident that occurred on Sunday’s afternoon, January 5. The incident led the locals to excavate the site further, leading to unearthing of the temple. A magnificent ‘Shivlinga’ along with Padchinhas (footmarks) were found at the Centre with the temple walls filled with beautifully crafted engravings .

The Shiva idol placed inside the sanctum sanctorum was said to be made of “Ashtadhatu”. It is being speculated that the temple belongs to 15th century…….”
