After Islamists use “Haha emoji” to mock Hindus after Prayagraj stampede, seculars/HINOs ridicule Hindus for following rituals

The Maha Kumbh Mela this year has been going on with great fanfare in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh right from day 1. However, as if someone was waiting for something untoward to happen, we saw the fire accident in one of the tents, and a few days ago, on Mauni Amavasya, when the Amrit Snan was supposed to take place, a stampede ensued leaving several dead. The pilgrims were on their way to Sangam Ghat when the incident occurred.

Following the news of this unfortunate event, some individuals on social media, particularly on Facebook, reacted insensitively. Several Islamist users responded to the post about the incident with ‘Haha’ emojis, expressing what appeared to be amusement or indifference toward the tragedy.

This behavior is not isolated. Earlier, when the fire broke out at the Maha Kumbh Mela, similar reactions were observed, with some Islamist users again using ‘Haha’ emojis to respond to the distressing news.

But this behaviour is not limited to the Islamists. We also saw several “seculars” writing all sorts of comments on social media. These comments were indicative of how these seculars were waiting for some mishap to occur to pin the blame on the Yogi Adityanath government as well as the central BJP government led by PM Modi.

Let us have a look at a few of them.

Rahul Gandhi, Congress party leader, and LoP wrote exactly in this regard.

On his X handle, he wrote, “The news of several people being killed and many being injured due to stampede at Prayagraj Mahakumbh is extremely sad. I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families and hope for the speedy recovery of the injured. Mismanagement, mismanagement and administration’s special focus on VIP movement instead of common devotees are responsible for this tragic incident. There is still a lot of time left for the Maha Kumbh, many more Mahasnans are to take place. The government should improve the system to prevent a tragic incident like today from happening again. VIP culture should be curbed and the government should make better arrangements to meet the needs of common devotees. I request Congress workers and leaders to help the affected families.”

Rohini Singh, an alleged journalist, wrote, “You can spend thousands of crores on publicity and advertisements and get trolls, influencers and Noida anchors to praise you but if you cannot govern with sensitivity and efficiency then what good is all this advertisement?”

Former SC judge Markandeya Katju also joined the bandwagon to criticise Hindus. He wrote, “Isnt it unscientific superstition and nonsense to say that one’s sins will be washed away by having a dip in the Sangam during Kumbh Mela?”

Some others blamed the BJP leaders and mocked Hindus over the stampede.

And they published cartoons as well in this regard.

It is noteworthy that the Yogi government took immediate action to bring the situation under control. We must remember that it is likely that nowhere in the world such large numbers of people have congregated simultaneously.

Whenever Hindus are hurt and affected, it is the Islamists who expose their real face first closely followed by the seculars and HINOs (Hindus In Name Only) who mock and ridicule Hindus and Hindu Dharma and Sanskriti.
