Bharat-Bangladesh Army is going to meet to prevent smuggling and human trafficking along borders

A special meeting between the armies of Bharat and Bangladesh is going to be held in New Delhi on June 11. The main agenda of this meeting is find solutions of the borders related key issues. Also both sides are aiming to build a better understanding to control cross border smuggling and human trafficking problems. 

It is known that the special meeting will continue for four days. To take part in this meeting, a fifteen members team of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) led by Major General AKM Najmul Hasan will reach in New Delhi on Saturday. The delegation will meet top officials of BSF. 

From our side, BSF DG Sujay Lal Taosen will lead the Indian delegation. 

According to sources, the meet is important to both the neighbours as they share long border and also an important trading partner. Specially, Bharat is facing threats of smuggling activities, human trafficking and infiltration from Bangladesh side for long time. To control and manage our borders, BSF needs more co-operation from BGB. Also, unfenced borders along the Bangladesh is also a problem for BSF. That’s why, this meeting is important, expert think.
