A woman from Haryana’s Yamunanagar has alleged that her Muslim husband forced her to have physical relations with his brother and other male relatives apart from himself. The victim is also said to have been subjected to gang rape and unnatural sex. The police have registered a case against the accused and nine others for rape, forcing one to have unnatural sex, holding one hostage, physical assault, and several other sections.
The victim, belonging to a village under the jurisdiction of the Bilaspur police station, in her complaint alleged that the Muslim youth belonged to her village and used to study with her. She said that the youth called her to meet him on August 13 last year and subsequently took her to a secluded place where his brother was also present.
There the woman was made to inhale a poisonous substance and then she was forced into nikah. It has also been alleged that she was also threatened to sign documents. After this, she was taken to Paonta Sahib in Himachal Pradesh. There she was confined in a rental house as his ‘wife’. She was subject to physical and sexual assault and when she protested, the man threatened to kill her.
She said that the man and his male relatives constantly subjected her to physical torture, unnatural sex, and rape. The accused didn’t allow her to leave the house. On December 4, 2021, she found her chance to escape when none of them were present in the house.
The woman complained about the matter to the police, on the basis of which the latter initiated the action against the accused. They registered a case against all the nine accused under sections 323, 376D, 377, and 506. Police have issued a statement saying that the matter is being investigated and all the accused will be arrested at the earliest.
Such cases of sexual assault, stalking and grooming against Hindu women by Islamists are on the rise across the country.
