West Bengal: Madrasa students vandalise the examination centre in Maldah’s Kaliachak

Angry madrasa students vandalised a high madrasa in Kaliachak. After a lengthy discussion with the students, the police pacified the situation.

As per the reports, today, the incident occurred in Dariapur High Madrasa of Kaliachak of the Maldah district.

Students alleged that teachers were checking girls badly before entering the examination centre. Besides, teachers did not allow them to go to the toilet, students alleged.

Later, as the examination ended, angry students gheraoed the madrasa. Some students allegedly vandalised chairs and tables and other things.

After receiving the information, a police force from the Kaliachak Police Station reached. The Police pacified the situation with the help of locals.

However, the head teacher of the madrasa, Asif Rahman, denied all the allegations. He said, “Vigilators stopped the students from copying. That’s why the students raised false allegations and vandalised things inside the Madrasa.”
