A BJP leader was allegedly murdered by TMC-backed goons at Pipulberia village under Hanskhali police station of Nadia district.
Nakul Halder(60) was vice president of the local BJP unit. His son alleged that his father was an active BJP worker. To spread fear among local voters and loot votes in the upcoming panchayet election, TMC-backed goons murdered her father.
According to family members, Nakul Halder has been missing since yesterday evening. Later, locals found his body hanging from a mango tree in the village. Later police recovered the body and sent it for postmortem.
His son Rajesh Halder alleged, ‘‘My father has been murdered brutally. His legs and hands were broken. Then goons hanged him from the tree. I demand a CBI investigation in this matter.”
