A maulvi accused of raping a Hindu SC woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda was arrested by the police. He reportedly frequented the woman’s house by instilling the fear of ‘jinn’ in her. The maulvi subsequently began forcing the woman into a physical relationship. Furthermore, he even sexually exploited the woman’s minor daughter by calling her to his home for cooking.

The woman also accused the maulvi of hanging her son from a noose and murdering him. On the basis of the victim’s complaint, the police registered a case against the accused. The accused has been booked under grave sections of the Indian Penal Code. According to reports, the accused has been arrested.

The incident was reported from the Nagar police station jurisdiction. As per the woman, Junail Abdin’s son Ali Barkash alias Maulvi Baba resides opposite her house and has constructed a Mazar in his house. He started frequenting her house under the pretext of discovering the presence of a jinn using his black magic skills.

He used her fear of the jinn to rape her and sexually exploited her 14-year-old daughter by calling her home to cook. It has also come to light that the woman’s son discovered that the maulvi was sexually abusing his sister. Following this, on November 12 the accused is said to have hung the boy from a noose after tying his hands. The boy died on the way to the hospital.

Nagar police officer confirmed the booking and arrest of the accused. Further investigations are underway.
