Moin Khan who had been stalking a Hindu girl murdered her grandmother and 10-year-old brother by slitting their throats as the grandmother had taken objection to Khan stalking her granddaughter. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon in the Hazaripahad area of Nagpur. The victims have been identified as Laxmibai Dhurve and Yash Dhurve.
Reports state that Khan and Dhurve’s granddaughter became friends on Instagram about a year ago and had been in touch even on phone ever since. Further, Khan is said to have often followed the girl to college and was allegedly pressurizing her to accept his love proposal. However, Laxmibai was opposed to this and ensured that the two stopped meeting.
It has also come to light that the family of the girl counselled her to not meet Khan. Khan was enraged since the girl heeded her family’s advice. The girl was also allegedly sent to Madhya Pradesh to their relatives’ place. This further angered Khan who even threatened the family several times besides continuing to stalk the girl.
Although friends and neighbors had advised the family to file a police complaint against Khan, the family hadn’t done so out of fear that some harm may come to their daughter if they did so.
However, the family ignored the threats issued by Khan who forced his way into the Dhurve residence on Thursday afternoon on learning that Laxmibai and Yash were alone at home. Khan is then said to have brutally murdered the two using a sharp weapon. The double murder came to light later in the evening when Laxmibai’s son Mohan and daughter-in-law Sonali returned home from work.
The police said that the victims put up a fight but Khan was successful in overpowering them. However, once he was successful in overpowering them he killed the two in the most brutal manner by slitting their throats using a sharp weapon. Police have confirmed that several injury marks have been found on the bodies of both the victims.
About three months ago, the Dhurves had asked Khan to stay away from their daughter but all their pleas fell on deaf ears. Khan not just refused to listen to their pleas but is also supposed to have threatened the family several times. He would often drop into their house with a knife to intimidate them.
While certain reports state that Khan committed suicide by jumping before a train on Thursday night, there is no confirmation regarding the same from authorities so far.
While the liberals conveniently want society to turn a blind eye to such instances of grooming (love jihad) by calling it a myth, ground realities are far removed from what the likes of the Lutyens cabal or Tanishqites (supporters of Tanishq’s pro-grooming Ad) want us to believe.
