A Bharatiya-origin man was shot dead during a daylight robbery at the gas station convenience store he was managing in Tupelo, Mississippi, USA. The deceased Paramveer Singh was a native of Dhapai village in Kapurthala district, Punjab. The accused shooter, Chris Copeland (26), has been arrested.
The holdup at the Chevron gas station was caught on CCTV camera. In the chilling 1.30-minute video clip which has since gone viral, Paramveer can be seen doing exactly what the robber asks him to do, including sitting down on the floor and saying “You take it all…no problem”, but Copeland suddenly shoots him from point-blank range.
Speaking to reporters, Paramveer’s father Hardyal Singh said that his only son’s body is being brought to Dhapai village. The victim’s mother is the village sarpanch. Earlier in August 2021, Karanjit Singh, a resident of Begowal, was shot dead by an American in the US state of Georgia.
The Constitutional right to bear arms, which most Americans consider sacrosanct, means that firearms deaths are a permanent fixture in American life and dozens of mass shootings occur each year, including in schools and supermarkets. There are an estimated 390 millions guns in circulation in the US, including lethal automatic pistols and rifles, making it the most heavily armed nation in the world.
The incident comes amid rising anti-Hindu and anti-Bharat hate crimes in US and the Anglosphere. Recently, Hindu American Krishnan Jayaraman Iyer was abused and threatened with slurs like “dirty Hindu”, “disgusting dog”, “cow piss drinker” by Khalistani supporter Tejinder Singh (37) at a Taco Bell fast food joint in Fremont, California. Singh was later charged with a hate crime.
Four Indian-American women were then racially abused and assaulted by a gun-wielding Mexican-American woman in Dallas, Texas who hurled racist slurs at them that they are “ruining” America and should “go back to India”. The accused woman, Esmeralda Upton, was arrested.
A Hindu temple was vandalised in New York, and just yesterday, a Swaminarayan mandir in Toronto was defaced with pro-Khalistan slogans.

renamed? LOL, have you been living under a rock for last 75 years? Go read Article 1 of the Constitution and learn a real Bharatiya (‘Indian’) language – none of them use ‘India’, they all use Bharat.
