Salman, father of two, grooms Hindu girl and takes her to Tamil Nadu: Agra, UP

A grooming jihad case has come to light in Etmaddulah police station area of Agra, UP. Salman, a married man with two children, groomed a Hindu girl and convinced her to elope with him.

When the girl’s parents started searching for her, they found about her relation with Salman and lodged a police complaint against him. Police was able to track them to Tamil Nadu, from where they were both brought back last Tuesday, December 7.

Inspector Devendra Shankar Pandey said that the girl will be presented before a magistrate after her medical examination. Further sections will be added in the case based on her statement.

The police must investigate why the accused took the girl to Tamil Nadu. Did he have some contacts there, or is there a larger network at work here providing out-of-state safe houses to such criminals?

An organized nation-wide conversion racket was recently busted, in which an influential Muslim cleric Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui from Meerut played a leading part. Siddiqui, who is also on the council of the Zakat Foundation which provides IAS coaching to Muslim candidates, confessed to investigators –

“I made furthering the cause of the Ummah my duty and whenever we converted someone (to Islam), we informed our associated abroad who paid them a lot of money to remain within the Islamic fold and convert others. I benefitted a lot financially from it.”

An audio clip also emerged in which Siddiqui is heard saying how ‘upper caste’ Brahmin and Kshatriya Hindu girls are preferred targets.

Another case of a Muslim cleric encouraging grooming jihad had emerged from Fatehpur, UP. Preacher Hafiz Firoze Alam used to teach Muslim youth to trap non-Muslim girls, saying “You will get both money and enjoyment”.

Then there was the case of a senior IAS officer Iftikharuddin who was also running a conversion racket from his official residence in UP, threatening to ruin lives of those who didn’t convert to Islam.
