Syed Khawar Ali lures more than 50 young women across the country through matrimonial sites, sexually assaults and loots them

Jaipur police have arrested the vicious crook who used to trap the girls by looking at their profiles on the matrimonial website. He used to rape them on the pretext of marrying them and then used to abscond with their jewelry and cash.

As per the Jaipur Police, the accused Syed Shah Khawar Ali (27), a resident of Ambala, has duped more than 50 girls by meeting them through matrimonial sites.

DCP East Gyan Chand Yadav said that Syed Shah Khawar Ali used to target girls on the matrimonial websites. On May 6, a girl reported this matter to the Sanganer police station. She alleged that she got connected with Syed on a renowned matrimonial website. Syed told her that he has been working as an advocate in the Supreme Court of India. He also said that he owns a big business in Singapore.

After this, the conversation started between the two. On 27 April Syed came to Jaipur to meet her and stayed in a hotel. On May 6, he reached her flat to meet her. On the pretext of getting a new gold bangle made for her, he looked at the place to keep the ornaments at home. Then Syed sent her out of the flat on some pretext, and by the time she came back, he took out her money, ornaments, and expensive watch. He made an excuse for some urgent work and left the flat in a hurry.

When the victim called and asked the accused about her belongings, he simply refused to cooperate and even switched off his phone. The girl immediately informed the Sanganer police station about the fraud that had happened to her. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the Sanganer police station formed a special team and started searching for the accused and arrested him by tracing the phone location.

As per the Police, he has trapped over 50 girls across the country – from states like Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Kerala – via matrimonial websites where he pretends to be an Supreme Court advocate with a business in Singapore. He would land up in the city where the target girl lives on some pretext and then spin a web with his smooth talking. After raping and looting a victim, he would lie low for a few months before becoming active on matrimonial sites again and hunting for his next victim.

He has cases against him in several states, and was even arrested once in Delhi. But due to the Gandhian ‘every sinner has a future’ outlook embedded deep into the body politic of our secular state, or maybe just due to apathy/corruption of our criminal justice system, he was let free without any credible monitoring system to ensure he doesn’t repeat his crimes.

Syed Shah’s ‘business model’ is not entirely unique. In 2017, Muhammad Shafi from Kerala was arrested for posing as a Hindu NRI doctor on matrimonial sites and sexually assaulting over 30 Hindu women, mostly nurses and nursing students.

When asked why he targeted only Hindu girls, Shafi said he can’t trick girls of his own community. “A devout Muslim, he thinks it is a sin to molest a Muslim girl,” reveled an investigator, adding that he never felt any remorse as the victims were Hindus.

In another such incident, on December 23, the Kerala Police Cyber Cell arrested a person named Mohammad Faizal for luring several girls through matrimonial sites and then looting them for lakhs of rupees. The accused is also said to have sexually exploited some of the girls whom he met through the matrimonial websites.

According to the local reports, the accused trapped the girls by introducing himself as a Hindu person named Amal Krishna. He also managed to attain fake identity cards including an Aadhaar card, Passport, Electoral card, and Pan card to prove that he was a Hindu.

Faizal used the internet to create his profile on several matrimonial sites and get in contact with girls looking for a probable match. He came in contact with many girls and their families through the website to loot them for money. He also developed sexual relations with the girls by luring them and taking them to various hotels.

Well, if we dig deep into the minds and upbringing of such people like Syed Shah Khawar Ali, Muhammad Shafi, and Mohammad Faizal, we would understand that it is the religious brainwashing, which makes them commit such crimes without a trace of remorse. Meanwhile, more and more Muslim youth are being radicalized and emboldened each day to adopt this same model, and Hindu girls are being conditioned to make them ever more easy prey for such predators.
