The Rajasthan Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) busted a gang making fake documents. They arrested a Bangladeshi citizen living in Rajasthan and his two associates.
V.K. Singh, Additional Director General of Police for the ATS and Special Operation Group (SOG) in Rajasthan’s Jaipur, stated that the State Special Branch, arrested Bangladeshi citizen Mohammad Mehmmood Alam Tulu alias Kishore Kumar, along with his Bharatiya associates Parmanand Bherwani, alias Nandu, and Deepak Yadav. These arrests took place in various locations, including Jaisalmer and Jaipur. Singh mentioned that all the accused are being presented in court, and the police are seeking a five-day custody remand for further questioning.
The ATS registered a case against Mohammad Mehmmood Alam Tolu, Parmanand Bherwani, and Deepak Yadav under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Foreigners Subject Act 1946. Additionally, a case was filed under the Passport Act 1967.
Investigations revealed that Mohammad Mehmmood Alam Tulu had travelled to Pakistan as a child and married a Pakistani woman. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he returned to Bangladesh and then illegally entered India with a Bangladeshi passport and visa. He lived in Delhi, Amritsar, and Rajasthan under a false identity, working in hotels.
Alam met Parmanand Bherwani and Deepak Yadav in Jaipur and obtained fake Voter ID and Aadhar cards. He worked in hotels near the Bharat-Pakistan border in Jaisalmer. Further investigations are ongoing to determine the purpose of Mohammad Mehmmood Alam Tulu’s presence in Bharat and his activities in border districts.
