“Question on claims of the ‘Organization of Islamic Cooperation’ against Bharat over violence on Ram Navami”, India Faith, April 5, 2023:

“The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is an international Islamic organization with a membership of 57 Islamic countries spread over four continents. One of the main motives of the OIC is to highlight the issues regarding Muslims across the world.

However, many times, it has been observed that the OIC has ignored the facts and consistently tried to victimize Muslims, although the community is seen as involved in communal activities. Recently, the OIC criticized Bharat over riots observed on the occasion of Ram Navami.

According to its official website, the organization was established on September 25, 1969. Regarding the motive, it has been stated on its official website that – 
 
“The Organization is the collective voice of the Muslim world. It endeavours to safeguard and protect the interests of the Muslim world in the spirit of promoting international peace and harmony among various people of the world….”
