Pakistani propaganda machinery is doing overtime these days to create a narrative against the Indian State and the Indian Army. Although, they know that their Army cant get the Kashmir for them, hence they try their best to unleash this information warfare on to Indians.
In a recent such incident, numerous Pakistani accounts impersonating as Kashmiri, shared a video with false allegations against the Indian Army. These accounts were claiming that the Indian Army is damaging apple orchards in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to these media portals and social media accounts, multiple inhabitants of Kandipora, Bijbehara said that during the intervening night of Sunday-Monday (March 26 and 27), miscreants damaged apple orchards belonging to some nine families in Kandipora area of Bijbehara.
Initially they were accusing some unknown miscreants, but now they are accusing the Indian Army for this act, as this helps them to create an unrest in the locals. On the other hand, the locals said that the apple orchards are their only source of livelihood. “Dozens of families are dependent on these trees and the chopping down of the trees has created tremendous panic among the locals,” they added.
The locals have appealed to the higher authorities to find the culprits and compensate for the losses they have suffered.
However, the fact is that some unidentified persons chopped scores of apple trees in two different places at Kandipora of Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. The unknown miscreants chopped down more than hundred fruit-bearing apple trees by using axes & saws. Locals of the area believe the personal feud over land dispute among families the cause of incident.
An FIR has been registered and investigation has been initiated in this matter. Here it is important to not that apple exports are already declining due to the temperature horticulture department giving every possible support and Govt utilizing recent increased apple demands cause of #TurkeyEarthquake by exporting apples.
These fake accounts from Pakistan are spreading fake news claiming that Indian Army damaging apple orchards but in reality Security forces and government is wholeheartedly supporting and helping growing Apple business.
