No action after CPM-linked Islamists attack Hindu SC family for bursting Deepawali crackers: Palakkad, Kerala

Police has failed to act on a complaint lodged with the Vadakancherry police that a Hindu SC (‘Dalit’) family was beaten up for bursting firecrackers on Deepawali. Manikandan and his mother, from Anchumoorthi Mangalam in Palakkad, were injured. The family alleged that they filed a complaint after the incident, but the police failed to register an FIR.

The incident occurred on October 23, the eve of Deepawali, while bursting firecrackers. Manikandan’s neighbor Rahmatullah and his son came and questioned why they were bursting firecrackers and thrashed Manikandan. The father-son duo kicked Manikantan’s elderly mother in her chest. The frail lady is now bedridden.

Manikantan said that Rahmatullah hurled casteist abuse at him and his mother. . He filed a complaint with the Chief Minister as the police were not ready to file a case despite the protest.

Manikantan wants clarity as to why the police failed to register his complaint for so long. The family added that they would fight till they get justice. They said that action should be taken against the erring police officers, and they should be given strict punishment.

Sadly, it is common knowledge in Kerala that police often have their hands tied behind their backs by their political masters.

Incidentally, both the aggressor and the victim are communist activists and CPM-leaning Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) loading workers. It is alleged that the CPM party higher-ups intervened and asked the police to downplay the incident. Manikandan said that he hoped the Chief Minister would intervene.

Since the incident went public, the police were forced to act. Kerala police filed a complaint against Rahmatullah after 20 days but only for physically hurting Manikantan and his mother. They deliberately avoided adding the stringent Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The SC-ST atrocities act was enacted to prevent atrocities and hate crimes against SCs like Manikantan.

Last week, HinduPost reported how an Islamist mob led by a local policeman went on a rampage near Muvattupuzha in Ernakulam district on Deepawali day. Attackers armed with weapons led by one Rafeeq broke into the homes of members of the Tamil community. The criminals beat up family members, including women and children.

Rafeeq is a police official attached to the armed reserve police. Allegedly, Rafeeq was furious since the Hindu families in the locality burst crackers for Deepawali! After the incident became public, some Muslims led by local political leaders arrived and tried to settle the case through a ‘compromise.’ As usual, Kerala police initially refused to register the case, and local police have yet to arrest the attackers.

Such incidents have become a trend now. Islamists hurt Hindus on their festivals, Kerala police wouldn’t file a complaint or arrest the Muslim/communist aggressor, and Hindus are forced to approach CM Vijayan’s office. The CM’s office will then ‘intervene,’ and the police will file an FIR. This is a cheap trick to show that Vijayan is the savior of the downtrodden Hindus.

Once considered safe for Hindus, Palakkad district is fast becoming a terrorist hub for radical Islamists. They have allegedly infiltrated the Kerala police system and are actively helping terrorists through a group called Pacha Velicham (Green Light).

Communists claimed this was yet another ‘isolated’ lapse at the hands of Kerala police. When will Keralite Hindus learn that Communism is dead and a fascist version of green Maoism is currently in vogue all over Kerala?

  2. It is surprising to learn that Kerala Police has failed to register an FIR against such a crime.
And that makes people to believe that Police know on which side their bread is buttered!
