Aariful Malik (27) has been arrested in Indore, MP for blackmailing and threatening a Hindu woman colleague for marriage, reports Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar.

In her complaint, the woman stated that she and her senior colleague were working in an eyewear company since one year. Everyone in the company addressed him as ‘Malik saheb’ so she was not aware of his real identity at the time.

Soon, they got into a relationship and the accused raped her based on a promise to marry. When the woman’s family decided to find out more about the accused’s family, they found that he is a Muslim whose real name is Aariful Malik.
