A troubling incident has surfaced in Andhra Pradesh’s Nandyal district. A third-grade student was gang raped and murdered by three minor boys from her school. In addition, the accused threw the girl’s body into the canal after she was murdered to hide the evidence.
The boys, between the ages of 13 and 17, attended the same school as the girl, according to the police. Under the pretext of taking her to a new playground, the accused took her to a deserted location.
The incident occurred on Sunday (8 July) in the Muchumri village and was discovered on Wednesday (8 July). Following an extensive search for the girl, the father of the victim filed a missing report on Sunday.
Based on one of the accused’s confessions, the police have detained all three accused and initiated the investigation. The girl’s body hasn’t been found yet. People in the area are protesting and calling for the accused to face severe punishment.
To locate the girl on Tuesday, the police sent a sniffer dog into the village. The police used dogs to track down the home of three young boys acting strangely while roaming around the town during this period. One of the three boys confessed to the entire crime when the police apprehended him and questioned him. The other two accused in this incident were arrested as well.
The accused boys said they invited the girl to play with them when they saw her in Muchumri Park. The accused’s statement says that the three boys gang-raped and killed the girl after taking her to an isolated region close to the Muchumri Irrigation Project. Such perversion among minors is a cause for concern, with a fair share of blame to be placed on pornographic content dominating television and OTT web series.
