A horrific incident of two minor girls being gang-raped by a Maulvi and his relatives has emerged from Gurugram. The Mauli and seven others were taken into custody by the Gurugram police in connection with the crime. They reportedly filmed the incident and posted the video on social media when their demand of Rs. 10 lakhs for deleting the video wasn’t met.

Maulvi Mohammad Hasan, Jahulhak, Fakhruddin, Mustak, Yunus, Mustafa, Taiyab, and Waris are the accused who have been arrested. The incident is reported to have taken place within a madrasa located in Gurugram’s Punhana.

“The matter came to light when the father of one of the victim girls came across the video of the little ones getting raped. The video had gone viral over social media by the time he reached Gurugram Police station and registered a complaint”, noted OpIndia.

According to the statement given by the father to the police, the men had demanded ten lakhs but the families could arrange only six lakhs. The information obtained by the police indicates that Taiyab and Waris, who frequented the madrasa, had been keeping an eye on the girls who came there for learning Urdu and Islamic studies.

The two eventually bribed the Maulvi to allow them to carry out the sexual assault and are said to have raped the girls several times. They had recorded the horrific act using which they exploited the girls. Maulvi Mohammad Hasan, Jahulhak, Fakhruddin, Mustak, Yunus, and Mustafa deceitfully obtained the video which they then used to blackmail the family for the payment of the ransom.

The accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO) and the Indian Penal Code (IPC). They have also been charged for possessing illegal arms. The Gurugram police are conducting further investigations into the case and have assured to take strict action against those involved in the horrible crime.
