Malvani grooming case: Sameer Qureshi brainwashes minor Hindu girl, traps her elder sister in false case

A case of grooming has emerged from Mumbai’s Malvani where one Sameer Qureshi has been accused of not just brainwashing a Hindu minor girl but also trapping her elder sister in a false case. A complaint has been filed with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) by Advocate Kaushik Mhatre.

HinduPost reached out to Advocate Mhatre who informed us that Qureshi kidnapped the minor from the lawful custody of her elder sister Sapna Madhiwal also known as Nancy Chouhan and got the latter arrested along with her husband and younger brother Ajay in a false case.

After the death of their parents, Sapna came to Mumbai with her younger sister and brother in order to find employment and livelihood. She was forced to take up a job in a dance bar so as to provide for them. Sapna wanted to ensure a good future for her siblings. In his complaint, Advocate Mhatre has also pointed out that the family had to shift from Malvani to Malad since the former area was not good for the young generation.

When Sapna was away at work, Qureshi took advantage of the same and began befriending the minor. He has been accused of slowly brainwashing the girl and turning her against her elder sister by spewing venom against the latter. On December 20 when Sapna caught him with her sister, she warned him that she would take legal recourse if he continued to harass his sister.

Qureshi is further accused of having kidnapped the minor girl using his influential links and also brainwashed her into giving a false statement to the Juhu Police Station alleging that her sister Sapna was running a prostitution racket.

“Officers attached to Juhu Police without bothering to confirm the statement of minor by complying the procedure enumerated in Section 164 of Crpc forwarded compliant to Charkop police station and arrested the entire family of Nancy Chouhan along with her husband and children and younger brother Ajay”, stated Advocate Mhatre.

He has also said that the actual intention of the accused is to lure the girl to perform nikah and forcibly convert her to Islam. The accused has been misusing his contacts to trap Sapna and keep her away from her minor sister.
