A 13-year-old Madarsa student was raped and murdered by a fellow student. The incident occurred in Sampla Bakkal village of Uttar Pradesh’s Deoband Kotwali. The accused, who has been arrested, killed the victim as he was afraid that his crime of rape would be exposed.

The police went through the CCTV footage and discovered that the deceased student was accompanied by some of his friends. They detained 5 students as suspects for questioning. It was during the course of the investigation that one of them admitted to the crime. In his confession, the accused admitted that he first raped the 13-year-old victim and then slit his throat with a knife as he feared getting caught.

Mamur Hasan, Deoband Sarpanch Organization’s General Secretary and Manki Village Sarpanch said that the victim was the local mosque’s Imam’s son. OpIndia spoke to Mamur Hasan who said that both the deceased and the killer, were from the same village and studied in the same madrasa. The accused student is the senior of the deceased. Mamur told the portal that the deceased and the accused were students of Madrasa Rahimia in Sampla village. This madrasa is run by a committee.

The victim left home at 7.30 on the evening of January 30. When he did not return home at night, his family members began searching for him. However, they couldn’t find him even after searching the whole night. The victim’s dead body was discovered the next day at a farm in the village. As there was no cloth on the lower part of the body, it was suspected that the victim could have been raped.

Following the discovery of the body, the police registered a case and began investigating the matter. The accused student has been arrested on charges of rape and murder.
