“Kerala Madrassa Suicide: Post mortem report says Asmiya was sexually abused”, Organiser, May 31, 2023:

“A new twist has come up in the case pertaining to the suicide of Asmiya Mol (17) at a Madrassa in Al Aman Campus in Balaramapuram Thiruvananthapuram. Reports suggest that, according to postmortem report, she underwent sexual abuse. Police have registered a POCSO case against Hashim Khan, a young man belonging to Poonthura.

According to police, the abuse had occurred before she had joined Madrassa. Hashim reportedly told the police that they had only a friendship in between, and he had not done anything wrong. Now, police are investigating to find out if something went wrong when she was in the Madrassa.

We reported the mysterious death of Asmiya Mol a fortnight ago. There were reports that Asmiya Mol had called her mother and asked her to take her home….”
