Kashmiri Muslims caught collecting funds in the name of Hindu refugees by alert locals of Karala village, Delhi

Kashmiri Muslims fraudulently collecting funds in the name of displaced Kashmiri Hindus were caught by the locals in Karala village, Delhi. These people were running a door-to-door fundraising campaign and misusing that money for their personal use.

As per reports, thousands of rupees were collected by a group of around five Muslim youth, including a woman, in the name of Kashmiri Hindu refugees. The locals nabbed three of them and handed them over to the Kanjhawala police. The accused persons are being questioned by the police to reveal their modus operandi and objective of doing this illegal activity.

This issue was brought to light by the locals, who said that some suspected people were asking for donations from people here in the name of displaced Kashmiri Hindus. When the locals became suspicious, they asked two persons to show their identity cards.

These people initially hesitated to show their identity cards and reveal their actual identity, and were even seen hiding their faces when someone started making a video. This deepened the suspicion of the local people, and they stopped the donation drive and asked these people to produce their original identity cards. After further inquiry, several slips with the name National Student Camp were found among the suspects’ belongings. The amount of the donation received from the donors was mentioned in these slips.

Later, both Kashmiri youth were forced to produce their Aadhaar cards which revealed their names as Shabbir Ahmed Khan, a resident of Chattabal, Kulgam, and Fazil Ahmed Khan, a resident of Anantnag’s Narsengpora.

Upon getting their real identity, the locals immediately contacted the police and handed over the fraudsters. The information provided in the slips shows that many people donated an amount ranging from 500 to 5,000 rupees.

People have raised concerns and asked police to look into the movements of the funds collected and for what purpose are these funds being used. The locals also suspected that funds deposited in the names of Kashmiri Pandits who were murdered, driven away by Islamists from their homeland can end up being used for anti-national activities.
