I think in this situation, these visitors should loudly pray together as groups like for example chants for Krishna and Ram, Namokar Mantra, Ajai Alai, Mool Mantra etc. depending on individual situations of each adherent. If the visit is pre-planned, then the visitors should bring along suitable iconic representations like picture frames or murtis or other physical icons like swastik, trishul depending on their faith. The professor and the mosque people should respect pious prayers of all adherents, which is the purpose of the visit.
