Already married Irshad Ali hides Muslim identity to marry Hindu woman; medical reports reveal 28 severe wounds on victim

Delhi police, on Wednesday, September 7, arrested a man named Irshad Ali Khan after a woman filed a complaint of cheating, abduction, assault, and unnatural sex against him. The incident has been reported from the Jyoti Nagar area of the National Capital. In addition to the complaint made by the woman, police also informed that Khan is a co-accused in a murder case that had taken place in 2008 in Bhajanpura.

Subhi Vishwakarma, working as a journalist with Swarajya, took to Twitter on Saturday, September 10, to share a Times of India report detailing the case. A report by Navbharat Times mentions that Irshad Ali had posed as Guddu Choudhary to trap the woman who has levelled multiple allegations against him. It further reveals that Irshad Ali Khan, an advocate by profession, had concealed his religious identity to trap the concerned woman.

The victim alleges that she had met Khan in 2011 when she wanted to do an internship. At that time, he had introduced himself as a Hindu. To convince her further, he also got a tattoo of a Hindu deity on his arm.

They grew closer, and Ali successfully lured her into an affair with him. They eventually got married in 2015. The woman learned of Ali’s real identity after their marriage. She also discovered that Ali was previously married and had two children. When she confronted him, he assaulted her, held her captive in different locations in Delhi and Bhopal, and forced unnatural sex on her during this time.

He had also tormented her to convert her religion, read the Kalma, and offer Namaz. He also allegedly made a video of their physical relationship and blackmailed her to embrace Islam using the videos. He even threatened to make the videos viral if she refused to comply. He also took advantage of the fact that she didn’t have the support of her family and community as she had married Khan against their wishes.

While investigations are still underway, it is safe to claim that this case is a textbook case of grooming (Love) Jihad: A Muslim man hides his religious identity, assumes a Hindu identity, befriends a Hindu woman, lures her into an affair or marriage, and when his truth is exposed, he beats her up or sexually molests her. Often, the victim is killed brutally, and the police have had to recover her body from the outskirts of a town.

This is not an isolated case that follows this time-tested pattern by Love Jihadis; dozens of such cases are being reported from every corner of the country regularly. While the liberals and seculars continue to deny the existence of grooming Jihad, this evil practice has spread across the country. It has transformed into a pandemic that is taking down Hindu girls and women. Not a week goes by without a similar horrifying case making its way to the headlines.

In this case, the victim suffered multiple severe injuries and broken bones due to Ali’s violence. The police have confirmed that they lodged a formal complaint against the accused on September 7. They also added that the medical examination conducted on the victim showed that she had 28 wounds and broken bones in her body

  1. Such cases are REPORTED daily. But the number of such cases HAPPENING daily is much larger. In most cases, either the Hindu girl just vanishes, or ends her life, or the matter is hushed up due to fear of victim-shaming. I estimate the real number of such cases is at least 10x what is reported. Even today most Indian families will not report such a case for fear of being shamed by their community.
