“Gujarat: Abdul arrested in Bharuch for publishing pamphlet justifying beef consumption, 3 other Muslim youths arrested in the area for vulgar comments on Hindu deities”, Opindia, August 4, 2024:
“Bharuch taluka police have arrested a Muslim man Abdul who published pamphlets with false and misleading interpretations of Hindu theological verses. He was misinterpreting them to justify cow slaughter and consumption of beef. The accused interpreted the Hindu verses in a completely wrong way, due to which the sentiments of the Hindus were hurt.
After receiving a complaint about the incident, the Bharuch taluka police launched an investigation and arrested the accused Abdul Aziz Ahmed Patel Mufti. In another case from the area, the Bharuch police also arrested 3 other Muslim men for making vulgar comments on Hindu deities.
According to further details, a Hindu man found an 18-page pamphlet in the middle of the road at Kantharia village in Bharuch taluka. The pamphlet included several Sanskrit verses. Upon studying the pamphlet, the person found that it contained hurtful text about Hinduism…….”
